1. Payment terms
To secure your place at The Slow Retreat, a non-refundable deposit of €500 is required at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due in full 10 weeks before the start of the retreat.
Failure to complete payment by the agreed due date may result in cancellation of your reservation, with the deposit forfeited.
2. Cancellation policy
The €500 deposit is strictly non-refundable, without exception. Once purchased, tickets can’t be returned or exchanged. We will always assist with reselling to the waiting list if unforeseen circumstances arise.
As many costs for the retreat are paid in advance and are non-recoverable, exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including (but not limited to) illness, injury, pandemics, natural disasters, travel disruptions, personal or work-related circumstances, or a change of mind.
If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen travel issues (such as flight delays, cancellations, strikes or weather disruptions), retreat fees remain non-refundable. No refunds will be given for late arrival or early departure.
3. Travel & health insurance
While no one books a retreat intending to cancel, unexpected events can occur. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical care and emergency transport.
Participation in all classes, workshops, hikes and activities is entirely at your own responsibility. You are expected to use your own judgment regarding what feels appropriate for your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
If you are traveling internationally, you are required to have valid health insurance that covers medical care and emergency transport if necessary.
Please note: The Slow Retreat is designed for rest, reflection and reconnection. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological or therapeutic treatment. If you have any medical or mental health conditions, or are taking medication that may affect your participation, you are required to inform us in advance so we can assess together whether the retreat is a safe and supportive environment for you.
4. In the unlikely event we must cancel
We always aim to host The Slow Retreat with care and integrity, managing venues, teachers, catering and logistics well in advance. However, in rare and unforeseen circumstances, cancellation may be unavoidable.
If The Slow Retreat must be cancelled by us, all payments made will be fully refunded.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any personal expenses incurred in preparation for the retreat, including (but not limited to) flights, accommodation, loss of work, visa fees or other related costs.
5. Photography & media
Photos and short videos may be taken during The Slow Retreat for future website, social media and promotional use. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let us know in advance, your wishes will be fully respected.
This retreat is a space for presence and privacy. Commercial content creation, promotion of brands or services is not permitted without prior consent. During practices such as yoga, meditation and workshops, phone use is discouraged. Please respect the privacy of others and do not photograph fellow guests without their explicit consent.
6. Our rights
The Slow Retreat reserves the right to ask a participant to leave the retreat if their behavior is disruptive to the group, environment or overall experience. In such cases, no refund will be issued.
Participants may be held financially responsible for any damage caused to accommodation, property, natural surroundings or the belongings of others.
We reserve the right to make minor changes to the retreat program, schedule, teachers or facilitators if necessary. Any changes will always be made with care and with the overall experience in mind.
